This MD-4050 light weight metal detector is ideal for those who are looking for a serious entry-level machine. Features include audible and visual indication of detection, 16.5cm waterproof search coil which enables you to search under water (note: only the search coil is waterproof – not the control housing), and 3.5mm earphone socket. The in-built meter shows the type of metal detected and also includes a low battery LED indicator.

EAS-Electronic Article Surveillance RF MONO
Electronic article surveillance (EAS) is a deterrence loss prevention system used by retailers to deter shoplifting. EAS involves the use of electronic security towers(EAS antenna) and electronic security tags. Hard tags or Sticker tags(security labels) are placed on items throughout the store manually or are applied when merchandise is made and are disabled at check-out by either removing the hard tag using a detacher or by scanning label tags over a electronic label deactivator. If the tag is not disabled it will activate the alarm pedestals, which are generally located at the exit of a retail store. EAS tags & labels are extremely effective in deterring amateur shoplifting, but most professionals require a combination of hard tags, labels, and ink tags to keep them in check.
